Description

Nasser Centre for Science & Technology is seeking a qualified and motivated Mathematics Teacher to join our academic team. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering clear, structured, and engaging mathematics lessons, supporting students’ academic development, and helping students build confidence and strong problem-solving skills in mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver Mathematics lessons in line with the approved curriculum, ensuring that lessons are well-structured, clear, and suitable for different student abilities.
• Explain mathematical concepts, including algebra, calculus, statistics, and related topics, in a simple, engaging, and understandable way.
• Use creative teaching methods, real-life examples, and interactive approaches to make mathematics enjoyable, practical, and relatable for students.
• Manage classroom activities effectively and adapt explanations to meet diverse learning needs and different levels of student understanding.
• Prepare lesson plans, assessments, quizzes, and examination materials, while tracking student progress efficiently.
• Provide academic support to improve students’ understanding, confidence, and overall performance in mathematics.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to plan lessons, share best practices, and contribute positively within the Mathematics Department.
• Use digital learning tools, such as Canvas, to support teaching, learning, assessment, and student engagement.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic activities, and curriculum development when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education with a Mathematics specialization, or a related field.
• Teaching experience in Mathematics is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics subjects, including algebra, calculus, statistics, and related areas.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in the learning process.
• Ability to structure lessons clearly, manage assessments, and track student progress efficiently.
• Flexible and adaptable to curriculum requirements and diverse learning needs.
• Committed to improving student understanding, confidence, and performance in mathematics.
• Familiarity with digital teaching platforms, such as Canvas, is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive academic environment.
